Individual therapy

A space to talk it through — and real skills to move forward

One-on-one therapy with a licensed clinician who gets to know you, uses proven approaches, and works hand-in-hand with your psychiatric provider when medication is part of your care.

Why therapy

Feel better, and understand why

Therapy gives you a steady place to make sense of what you’re feeling, change patterns that keep you stuck, and build tools you can use for the rest of your life. Research consistently shows that for many conditions — especially depression and anxiety — therapy combined with medication works better than either alone.

At Altus, your therapist and prescriber are part of the same team. With your permission, they share updates, so your care feels coordinated instead of scattered.

Questions

Therapy FAQ

Do I need to see a psychiatrist to start therapy?

No. You can start with therapy alone. If it seems like medication could help, your therapist can connect you with our psychiatric team.

How long does therapy last?

It varies. Some people meet their goals in a few months; others prefer longer-term support. You and your therapist will check in on progress regularly.

What if my therapist isn’t the right fit?

Fit matters. Let us know and we’ll help you switch to another clinician — no awkwardness required.
